In 1992, its formal inauguration took place with the esteemed presence of the then Deputy Minister of Commerce from the Government of India.</p> <p>As a not-for-profit institution registered under the society/Public Trust Act, IIEIM holds a distinguished status as a permanent member of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), established by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
