Family FC – Football Coaching App

Overview:
Family FC is a revolutionary app designed to help parents of primary school-aged children make the most of their kickabouts, regardless of their footballing skills or fitness levels. It provides the perfect opportunity for families to spend quality time together outdoors, enjoying fitness and fun meaningfully. The app features an intuitive interface with a wide range of warm-ups, skill sessions, and engaging games tailored to different age groups. Each course is thoughtfully crafted by a team of teachers and professional coaches, including Family F.C.’s director of football, and former England international Matt Jarvis, ensuring a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for both parents and kids.

Business Needs
Family F.C. needed a dynamic Progressive Web App (PWA) built with Nuxt 3, focused on engaging families—especially parents and primary school-aged children—in football-based activities. The challenge was to translate Figma designs into responsive HTML, integrate and develop APIs with an Umbraco backend, and create an intuitive, performance-optimized, secure, and scalable mobile experience.

Our Approach
We formed a multi-skilled team and followed Agile methodology to ensure alignment with the client's vision and timely delivery. The UI was crafted from Figma designs into responsive HTML, APIs were integrated or developed, and Nuxt 3 was used to build a secure, fast-loading, and scalable app. Seamless coordination across mobile development, backend integration, QA, and server optimization ensured high performance and usability.

The Solution
We built a fast, secure, and scalable PWA using Nuxt 3 with Umbraco backend, transforming Figma designs into responsive HTML screens. The app features intuitive UX, smooth API integration, Stripe-based subscriptions, and Azure hosting—designed to help families engage in football through structured, age-appropriate, and fun sessions.
